Ok Go & Sierra Energy

Last year we worked with Ok Go and director Brian Perkins to bring their presentation on a free internet to the Ford Foundation. The event included an interview with Ok Go frontman Damian Kulash with the host of This American Life before being derailed by a Jeopardy like show called “Imbroglio’d!” with John Hodgeman. All of this took place before the circus hit the stage, literally.

Remember that scene at the end of Back to the Future, when Doc shows up “saying Marty! Where we’re going, we don’t need roads!” Or something like that? Well right before he fuels the DeLorean with trash! Well, in 1985 it was funny, but now it’s close to reality. Sierra Energy has recently unleashed their FastOx which does exactly that. It turns trash right back into energy and it’s awesome. Soon, we’ll all be fueling our flying cars with trash.

University of Phoenix. Tomato Makes It. Whirl Time Music.

Texting to great music? No problem! Attending class and balancing work? Again, no problem. What about staying in touch on the train? Easy. Check out this wonderfully hip little spot we produced for the University of Phoenix. Then when you’re all done with that, check out our video for Tomato Makes It!

University of Phoenix

Tomato Makes It was directed by Therese Vreeland for ad agency Barc depicting the stop-motion-life of tomatoes. We worked with them on the boards, the style, roto, and animation! It’s a great little spot for Tomato Makes It and you can check it out right now!

We we’ve also been working on the vector animated goodness for the crew over at Whirl Time Music, an online resource for the best in hip hop and electronic music. You can check them out right here:

Hanging out at Haunted Mansions

Have we mentioned how much we love adventures? I thought so. We view motion graphics and design the way that Indiana Jones views archeology. That’s why even though we’re designers and directors we end up spending entire days hanging out in haunted houses and old Masonic Temples. And we always take photos. Often times it’s while location scouting, or for reference, or so we can use it in a storyboard or style frame, and other times it’s just because it looks cool.

Check out the (more than likely and we wouldn’t be surprised to find out it’s haunted) Snowball Mansion. It’s out in the middle of nowhere and super photogenic. We also have a giant update to the photo Gallery Americana! Enjoy!

Tomatos. Hip-Hop. Haunted Mansions. Casinos and Prison Documentaries.

It’s been a busy couple of months, and that’s just the tip of the ice berg! The last year in history (according to the Mayans) is off to a great start already!! We’ve been deploying every technique we have from animation, to design, photography, on set creative, editing, mixing, painting, and of course: live action rotoscoping! (Who doesn’t love a little live-action-roto?)
